Join us for Fun, Connection, and Growth
At Kenshō Stables, we’re all about bringing joy back to horsemanship. That’s why we created It’s Never Too Late to Become a Cowgirl — a playful, inspiring book club with horses! Dive into fresh training ideas, bond with your horse in new ways, and share the ride with a community of awesome equestrians.
Series 1: Horse, Follow Closely: Native American Horsemanship
Traditional Methods of America's First Great Horsemen; Understand Your Horse and Create a Bond with Relationship Training
Practice Day 5: Falling Off and Using Verbal Cues
Part 1: “The first thing to understand about learning how to fall correctly is when to bail out and when to rise out the storm … As with mounting, the falling procedure is one fluid movement.
You may skip this exercise if you do not feel safe to practice it.
Part 2: “Verbal commands are most effective when defining the beginning or end of a work session, or to communicate stop and go … Limiting your verbal cues requires that you think like a horse.”
