Practice Day 1: Introducing Tools

You will get your horse totally comfortable with your hands on all parts of his his body, followed by the tools we will use over the series.

Boarders and experienced haul-in horse riders will be able to join a group trail ride on our 25 acres after our practice session.

Recommended pre-work: Do the Spend a Day with Your Horse exercise on pages 77-79 on your own or email us to spend a day with ours in advance of this session.

9 spots available per session, Kenshō Boarders get first access. There will be a $25 late fee charged for day-of registration.

*Haul-in horse requirements:

Horse must be wormed prior to arriving to Kenshō. Proof of current vaccinations and health certificate and Negative Coggin’s test must be sent ahead of arriving or be in hand before unloading. Horses must be vaccinated with the following (At least 3 weeks in advance):

  • E.W. Encephalomyelitis

  • West Nile Virus

  • Equine Viral Rhinopneumonitis

  • Tetanus

  • Equine Influenza

  • Strangles
